We’ve all seen widgets before. Those are the little programs that run on a variety of web sites and even your desktop computer. What widgets do is make our lives easier by performing a variety of functions such as including the weather on your desktop or a news article that updates by itself and can be found on a web site. These are handy little programs that you can utilize even if you don’t have a lot of computer knowledge. In fact, you may have used them in the past and didn’t even realize that’s what it was. Sure, if you are a web site designer you can install a widget on there that gives your viewers the weather, videos, or a variety of handy tools. However, even if you don’t run your own web site you probably seen widgets that you can use on your own desktops such as the calendar and sticky notes feature; these are all widgets.
These handy little widgets weren’t available a few years ago and are part of the technological advances that we see today. Technology is advancing minute by minute and these are just a small part of the larger picture. Something as simple as telling you what the temperature is outside is just another advance in the technology that we take for granted. You can use these for customers to see what the weather is like where you have an RV Park located or you can use a widget that displays your Twitter feed on your blog. The sky’s the limit when it comes to handy little widgets and we probably don’t even consider all of the technology and code work that goes into creating one. We live in an amazing world where people can create something so helpful and simple yet it takes someone that really knows what they’re doing to get to work for us so easily.
