Microsoft is still basking in huge success of Windows 7 which has been well received by the users especially after its predecessor Windows Vista bombed. Now rumors has it that Windows is working ojn the new version and perhaps calling it as Windows 8.
The new Windows is rumored to have a lot of new features incorporated into it. The Windows 8 may make use of the motion sensing technology Kinect which is a product of the project Natal and is used in Microsoft’s Xbox gaming platform. By using this technology, the system could be rigged such that the windows start when the person enters the room and goes to sleep mode when he leaves the room. It will also have a quick On/Off feature which makes the computer to wake from hibernation in no time.
Microsoft seems to be going the Apple way, at least when it come to having their own ‘Windows Store’ along the lines of ‘Apple Store’. This is expected to give more control to the developers by enabling them to upload certain applications specifically for certain geographical locations and also to make various applications available to the users on their computer screens. This will help Microsoft plug the security loopholes and also generate huge revenue. If things go as rumored then we can expect Windows 8 powered smartphones, handhelds and tablets to have a huge share in the handheld market especially with the proposed portability of Apps between PC and the devices. Windows 8 will be customizable with different flavors, just like Android. It is said to support new 3D technologies and motion sensors , it will be touch friendly as well which will make gaming a great experience on Windows 8. Even though these things sounds great and makes worth looking out for, we have to wait and see how much of these leaks are going to be true.
